The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and ESO Travel, a major tour operator in Eastern Europe, recently welcomed 16 contestants from the “Miss Czech Republic Beauty Contest 2012″ to Thailand for a 7-day preparation camp in Bangkok, Pattaya, Ratchaburi, Krabi, Phang Nga, and Phuket. By highlighting the beautiful contestants enjoying the beautiful attractions of Thailand, the programme will be valuable in promoting the Kingdom in the Czech Republic while strengthening the Thailand brand.
The Czech beauties enjoyed a wide range of activities at locations including beaches, cultural attractions, lifestyle and shopping spots, eating establishments, and luxury accommodation. “Thailand offers cultural charm with an unmatched choice of attractions everywhere you go. The contestants from the Miss Czech Republic Beauty Contest 2012 enjoyed memorable activities, scenic landscapes, and fantastic food in several provinces across Thailand. The TAT is confident that their trip to the Kingdom will inspire a lot more Czechs to visit us,” said Mr Suraphon Svetasreni, Governor of the TAT.
In 2010, more than 27,000 travellers from the Czech Republic visited Thailand. During the period of January to November 2011, Thailand welcomed over 25,000 travellers from the Czech Republic. Czech tourists are interested in the best travel deals in terms of quality and pricing. This makes Thailand a highly appealing destination with its widely-recognized value-for-money attribute while offering a wide selection of unique tourism products and high-quality services. Czech visitors especially enjoy visiting Thailand for golf, diving, and honeymoons, particularly during the Czech Republic’s winter months. First-time visitors from the Czech Republic usually choose to go to Pattaya, while repeat visitors prefer destinations on the Andaman Sea coast including Krabi Phuket and Phang Nga.
